Concept Occupational health offers safety critical medicals for those who work in roles in which ill health could impact on the safety of themselves or others. These medicals comply with standards set out by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, and Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 in Ireland.
These medicals are typically for employees in high-risk roles in different industries, including:

These medicals include a physical and mental health assessment, including:
Blood pressure check, Pulse, Height, Weight, BMI
Audiometry (hearing test)
Spirometry (lung function test)
Urinalysis (urine test for glucose, blood & proteins)
Musculoskeletal assessment
Eye test including visual acuity, colour vision and peripheral vision
Skin assessment
The assessment takes approximately 60 minutes, and can be undertaken onsite or in our local office, depending on convenience for the employee.
A fitness certificate will be provided by the Occupational Health clinician based on the results of completed questionnaires and physical assessments. Typically this will be provided within 24 - 48 hours after your medical assessment.
