Rachel Mearns - Founder and Specialist Nurse Practitioner
With over 15 years of nursing experience, including a decade specializing in occupational health, Rachel, the founder of Concept Occupational Health Ltd., brings extensive expertise to the field. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with clients across a wide range of industries, including aviation, construction, pharmaceuticals, and retail, working in both the public and private sectors. Her experience spans from supporting small businesses with fewer than 10 employees to partnering with large organizations of over 90,000 staff across the UK and Ireland.
In 2019, Rachel obtained a postgraduate degree in Occupational Health from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, equipping her with advanced knowledge and skills to support businesses in promoting workplace health. As a dual-registered practitioner with both the Nursing and Midwifery Council in the UK and the Nursing and Midwifery Board in Ireland, she is uniquely positioned to provide comprehensive occupational health services to businesses operating in both regions.
Rachel founded Concept Occupational Health Ltd. in 2023 with a vision of delivering high-quality, personalized occupational health solutions. The company offers a range of services, including sickness absence management, health surveillance, ergonomic assessments, and safety-critical medicals, all tailored to meet the specific needs of businesses. With flexible service delivery, Concept Occupational Health provides support remotely across the UK and onsite in Northern Ireland and Ireland.
